A little while ago, were going to do something for MashUp Australia - something down the data visualisation path, but then I got slightly sidetracked, and decided to apply Ben Fry’s zipdecode to Australian postcodes. (After seeing that it’s been done for Germany and Switzerland).
Here at the Interaction Consortium, we don’t just make great websites, we also build the occasional interactive artwork. The most recent artwork we had a hand in building was Our House, by Julia Burns, which was a very exciting project to be involved with, and the final artwork was received very well by everyone, including the attendees at the Creativity and Cognition conference in Berkeley, where it was exhibitied.
Yesterday we held a workshop at the IxC office with our staff and friends. It was the first in a series of workshops for the purpose of sharing knowledge and raising creative and technical discussions between IxC members.
So, I’ve just come back from a fantastic 2-week trip in San Francisco. It was my first time there but oh boy, I already love this city!
We love a bit of theory. There’s nothing quite like a little theorising on why we do the things we do. Put Fun in front of it and our fedoras go topsy-turvy, thick-rimed glasses mist right up.
